Posture, the Pillar of Crafting.

 

When practising drills in copying a master's work, one must push its senses in visual (as well as aural) mathematics. One must carefully observe and study the flow of forms. In every line, there's a beginning and ending.

While copying and crafting letters, one must bear in mind that the nature of reading and writing must synchronise. One must deliver how it’s intended to be read. Often, the postures during construction went misaligned. These are fine hidden mistakes that must be prevented through a constant state of awareness of one's posture at all times. The posture of the paper, pen, body and eyes, all these must be sensitively observed. Followed by undertaking the posture of the nib and the flow of letters. Marking the path of the ink, must be carefully executed.

One must be gentle and not pursue in haste. A moment of complacency in this matter will result in bad habits. And bad habits are poisons to ethics.
