Inside The Studio

I develop feelings with creations through the pen, regenerating memories, rooted to the essence of moments. For most, moments come by uniquely only once. And to every each, has its own life.

The existence of the pen has nurtured me to understand purposes and meanings of creations in life. From drawing, to writing, to calligraphy, to painting, to graphics and construction, to materialising ideas, every visual element is a message. And a dot on its own, is a mark of presence.

Writing and calligraphy has always been a medium of my journey towards adulthood. I am a student to the knowledge and wisdom beyond the letters and words that define this universe. Illustration is a medium of my childhood comfort. It’s a language of admiration towards things happening around me. Be it in stillness or in motion, there is life even within the finest speck of dust.

Learning to make use of what I have acquired, every piece of work is an attempt to find comfort within myself. There are constant conversations between the heart and mind. It evolves mostly around nature, mankind, history and behaviour of things. At times it drifted into the unknown. Intentions and desires start to appear. Then I let my hands, tools and spaces around me to work. Along the way, more works are born unintentionally or intuitively. There are times I let my work live and grow on its own, and I became the tool. There are times I couldn’t understand or describe certain pieces. Only to realize the feelings of its existence after a period of time.

I am still working hard on learning about myself on things I’m supposed to do. But for certain, part of creating this studio and all the works produced, is a dedication to my family and my teachers. The works of my hand is the only heritage or fortune to serve my family. And the discipline, skills and thoughts used, are forms of tribute and gratitude to my kind teachers. I’m not sure, if as a person, I could have ever contribute enough. But I hope, the presence of my work could at least, leave a mark of my existence, inspire my family and generations for better life in this world and after.
