Spirit of Aleef.

-—————

This artwork features Aleef as the first and leading letter in the Arabic Thuluth alphabet (huruf/abjad). The letter Aleef is equivalent to the value of letter A in Roman alphabet. It is surrounded by the rest of the Thuluth alphabetic family letters, written in foreground in white, as well as in the background in black outlines.

Written in variation of pen sizes, it include different forms of diacritical and orthographical marks (reading signs), as well as decorative signs, which are used to facilitate the classical Arabic Thuluth script. The swash rustic marks in the background reflects the eminent existence of letter Aleef.
