Tasbih, Scripture in Black and Tea Spatter Collage.

-—————

This is an Islamic artwork, calligraphed in Arabic Thuluth script. It features a Tasbih: a meditational chant in glorification of God in Islam, commonly used in prayers and supplications. There are different forms of Tasbih, and here the large main script recites and means:

Subhanallah: Glory be to Allah.

The background is filled with collage of spattered inks with other smaller Tasbih scripts reciting:

Subhanallah Wabihamdihi: Glory be to Allah and All Praise is to Him.
Subhanallahil A’zhim: Glory be to Allah The Mighty.
