Hawqala Script, Collage Burgundy Tea.

-—————

This is an Islamic artwork. It features a meditational chant in glorification of God in Islam, used in prayers, supplications as well as dzikr, an act of remembrance and to invoke God. It is known as Hawqala or LaHawla. Here it recites and means:

Laa Hawlawalaa Quwata illabillah, Al-Aliyyil A’zhim:

There is no power, and no strength (neither shall exist) except with God, (The God which truly is) The Supreme Almighty, The exalted Most High.

It is calligraphed in Arabic Thuluth script, repeated in smaller scripts all around, layered in collage with fragmented spaces filled with painted tea ink.
